Collectively, Tomball High School’s Class of 2013 received $4.9 million in scholarship money from various foundations, organizations, colleges, and universities.

Tomball High School baseball players (from left) Kyle Pinson and Eric Dunbar wore their 4A State Baseball Championship medals as they crossed the stage to receive their high school diplomas. The Cougars clinched the state title the night before the graduation ceremony.

Tomball High School baseball players (from left) Dylan Bass, senior; Robbie Gillen, sophomore; Nick Falcone, senior; Ian O’Bryan, senior; Austin Gryder, senior; and Robbie Vatuna, junior, celebrated as they won the 4A State Baseball Championship. The Tomball Cougars clinched the championship with a 6-1 victory over Corpus Christi Moody at Dell Diamond in Round Rock. Congratulations! Way to go Coogs!

Tomball High School seniors (from left) Anna Lui, Kelsey Zalesak, Hannah Plucheck, Matthew Trotter, and Carl Solomon were honored during the Senior Awards Program. Lui received the Outstanding Leadership Award. Zalesak received the Best Citizen Award. Plucheck received the Best All-Around Female Student Award and the Ms. THS Award. Trotter received the Best All-Around Male Student Award. Solomon received the Mr. THS Award. These outstanding seniors were among nearly 700 students in the graduating class of 2013.

Tomball High School seniors Madison Dorr (left) and Anna Vu (right) invited Lakewood Elementary Teacher Lynn Chapman to the Top Ten Percent Breakfast. Seventy-one seniors invited an individual who inspired them as a student. Dorr and Vu were in Chapman’s third grade class when they attended Lakewood Elementary. Chapman expressed that she was proud of their accomplishments and wished them well with their future endeavors. Dorr and Vu also congratulated Chapman on her retirement. After working 36 years as a Tomball ISD teacher, Chapman plans to retire this summer. She has worked a total of 42 years in education.

Tomball Scholarship Foundation President John Neubauer awarded Tomball High School senior Angela Spratford with a scholarship to attend any campus within the Lone Star College System. A total of 12 seniors received scholarships from the Tomball Scholarship Foundation. Spratford plans to major in business.
