Head Coach

Brian Vestal was born and raised in southeast Houston, Texas. Coach Vestal graduated from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with his Bachelors in History and is certified to teach History 6-12 and Special Education K-12. He has been a high school swimming coach for 7 years. Coach Vestal served as Head Coach for Aldine- Nimitz High School in Houston, Texas between August 2008 and May 2011. Afterwards, Coach Vestal spent one year in Laredo, Texas working for United ISD as the Aquatic Director. This will be Coach Vestal’s fourth year with Tomball High School. Coach Vestal has had several Academic All Americans, won two UIL district championships, numerous individual Regional qualifiers, and several UIL 5A & 6A level UIL State Championship qualifiers. Professionally, Coach Vestal was voted District Coach of the Year in 2011. Coach Vestal is a member of American Swim Coaches Association, National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association, Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association, and USA Swimming. Additionally, Coach Vestal is a certified pool operator and lifeguard certified. Coach Vestal is the regional representative for 5A swimming.

   In addition to coaching the high school swimming and water polo program, Coach Vestal invites junior high kids to participate in the Tomball ISD junior high swim clinic. More information about this event will be available online as we get closer to January. Classes start at the beginning of second semester and last until spring break.

   He is married to Dana Vestal, RN. She is a school nurse at Tomball Elementary, as well as, a nurse at Memorial Hermann Hospital.​
