Hola hola!!! This is going to be a GREAT 2016-2017 school year, and I am
looking forward to the incoming 2020 class!!! I am entering my fifth year of
teaching, and every year is a new experience. My greatest joy is seeing
students I've had in the past, and for some this will be their third year with
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico; but, raised almost all of my life here in the
Houston area. I do not forget my Mexican roots, and have embraced the Mexican culture with a passion that I want to spread that to my students. In addition, I love getting to know other cultures. This past July, I took a group of students with me to Spain, France, and Italy for an 14 day adventure. It was an amazing experience, and their eyes were opened to a whole new culture!
I am the proud mother of a beautiful and TALL almost 17 year-old daughter name Kayla. Lol...she is seven inches taller than me :) She is a junior this year!
My education includes a Bachelors in Business Administration with a minor in
Spanish. The job market was that competitive that it made me reconsider my
professional career. I thought back to my first career choice, teaching
Spanish. My inspiration is my Spanish teacher, Mrs. Betsy Arnold, who just
retired after 32 years of teaching Spanish in the Cy-Fair school district.
Thank you Mrs. Arnold!!!
