Tomball High School

Orchestra

Brief History
The Tomball High School Orchestra program has been around for over 10 years, starting with 6th graders only during the 2008-2009 school year, and has continued to grow since. The Tomball HS Orchestra program, and its feeders, have over 400 members enrolled between grades 6-12. Our programs continue to earn UIL Sweepstakes, participate in UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest, and participate in other social and community and events!

Tomball High School Feeders
Tomball HS is fed by three campuses, Creekside Park JH (6th - 8th), and Tomball JH (7th & 8th) which is fed by Tomball Intermediate (6th), and Grand Lakes JH (7th & 8th); THS currently gets 20% of Grand Lakes JH students. All junior high programs have three to four performing ensembles in addition to the homogeneous beginner classes.

About Tomball High School Orchestra
Tomball High School Orchestra has six performing ensembles: Full Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra,  Concert Orchestra, Concert Red Orchestra, & Sinfonietta Orchestra. Members are placed in ensembles through continued evaluation that may include an audition process. We have incredibly high standards for all students and hold our members to a higher standard that will help them post high school.
