Greetings!

Welcome to a new school year! I am so excited to meet you all and get started on our science adventures! My teaching style is one of discovery, investigation, collaboration and communication.  In other words, it is student driven! By making connections to your lives, the science will take on purpose and meaning.  You will remember the content and be able to apply it to your life.  Who knew we would have to know so much about viruses in 2020?
In my 25 plus years in education, I have served as a science teacher, science instructional coach and district science coordinator. I hold a bachelor and masters degree in Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University. (Axe 'Em Jacks!) This will be my second year as a THS Cougar. The faculty and staff here at THS are passionate about teaching and learning. And we are all extremely excited about getting this new school year up and running.
I will be teaching Dual Credit Biology (BIOL 1406 & 1407) and Dual Credit Anatomy & Physiology (BIOL 2401).  Because these courses are aligned with Lone Star College, students will be required to purchase a CONNECT subscription for their course. This subscription will include an e-text as well as many resources that will keep students connected regardless of their location.
Please see your Schoology page for this class to get course information documents.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
Welcome to the 2020-21 School Year! Let's make this year the best yet! Go Coogs!
