KimberLeigh Nagel

Dear Families;

    Hello, my name is KimberLeigh Nagel and I will be your child’s English teacher this school year. I also teach some of the PALS fine arts classes. I am extremely excited to be working with the PALS program at Tomball High School.

    I grew up on a family farm in West Bend, Wisconsin.  I earned my B.A. in Elementary/Special Education from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN.  I completed my M.Ed. in Special Education/Assessment at the University of Guam in Mangilao, GU. I completed my MLS degree at Sam Houston State University in December of 2019. I have specific training in working with students with dyslexia and autism.  I also attend as much new training as possible in the area of special education and new practices.

    This is my 28th year of teaching and I have worked with special education the entire time. This is my eighth year in Tomball ISD. I have previously taught in Natchitoches, Louisiana (10 years); Georgetown, TX (2 years); Round Rock,TX (4 years); and Talofofo and Inarajan, Guam (4 years).  I also taught as an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA in the Special Education program (7 years).

    My husband is an educator as well, so teaching and learning are extremely important to us.  We have three beautiful daughters.  Addison is in 11th grade, Lindsay is in 9th grade and KayLeigh is in 8th grade.  We love to travel and geocache as a family.  Showing our girls the world and the possibilities in it is very important to us.

    I would like to welcome you and your child to our program. We have many new and exciting things planned this school year!
