Welcome to my teacher webpage and welcome to my class! I am so excited to be back in the classroom at Tomball High School! My name is Nancy Newton and I happily teach English, History, and Social Skills to students enrolled in the PALS program. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree from SFASU in Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, A teaching Certification in Special Education K-12 and a Teacher certification in Elementary Ed K-4th. I have worked for the State of Texas in the Vocational Rehabilitation of persons with Disabilities, worked as a Director for MHMR Social Rehab Programming, and have been a Special Education Teacher for both Tomball and Cy-Fair for 8 years. I am married and I am the mother of 4 beautiful children, 3 whom have graduated from THS and 1 who will be here next year. I also have 4 fur babies at home ( a lab, 2 bull dogs, and a cat). I currently volunteer as the President of Tomball Sports Association for the City of Tomball and in this capacity have started the first baseball Challenger League for students with Disabilities at the Little League Park. I am looking forward to a great year and am happy to meet with parents anytime to discuss your child's success in my classroom! Please check out the pages on my website to see what we are up to!
