Tomball High School - Room 1222
English I PAP and On-Level

Hello there!

Welcome to Tomball High! We have a great year planned for English I classes full of fun (yes - FUN) activities and interesting reads. I'm looking forward to a great 2018-19 school year, and getting to know my students and their families!

As for me, I graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in English. Prior to joining the Tomball ISD family, I taught both traditional and online courses at the UH Writing Center, worked with the Apollo 20 Program at Lee High School in Houston ISD, and tutored through Varsity Tutors. This is my sixth year with TISD, the first five of which I taught at Willow Wood Junior High - so I've taught a wide range of ages. The parent-teacher relationship is extremely important to me regardless of the age(s) I'm teaching, so you can expect to hear from me regularly!

I myself have 2 children, both currently enrolled in the district. Since moving to Tomball in 2012 I've been continually impressed with the district from a parenting standpoint, and continue to be impressed as an educator. For me, there is no greater joy than being a part of a whole that fosters both academic and personal growth, as is the case with TISD.

My mission for my classes is to not only help each student reach his/her potential, but also to equip all children with tools that will help them succeed long after they leave Tomball.
